We teamed up with Supervsn Studios CEO Gavin Mathieu, the mastermind behind some of music and fashion’s biggest trends. His vision of using creativity and tech to empower the next generation aligns perfectly with Microsoft’s mission to help every person and organization on the planet achieve more.
Despite this mission, we noticed a disconnect with Gen Z—Microsoft wasn’t seen as relevant by the younger generation. But we saw a unique opportunity to bridge this gap by associating our function-first brand with the nostalgic Normcore aesthetic that Gen Z loves. This unpretentious approach to clothing perfectly matches Microsoft’s ethos of putting function first.
Enter Hardwear, a groundbreaking capsule collection created in collaboration with Supervsn Creative Director Gavin Mathieu. Inspired by classic Microsoft tools and software, this collection is made exclusively for creators of all generations. Each of the nine pieces—tees, sweats, crewnecks, pants, and more—are designed to minimize distractions and maximize creativity.
The collection launched on TikTok with a nostalgic vibe, celebrating the past while empowering the next generation of innovators. Hardwear is more than just a collection; it’s a statement that function never goes out of style.
